*Big sigh of relief* A blown fuse, afterall. I thought I had found all of the fuses and whatnot related to the power outlets already, but nope, there was one more hiding (in rather plain sight) and I did eventually find it (I freely admit I’m not the most car competent person out there, but damnit, I can change a tire!). I’ll spend the rest of the day getting ready (my mother would really prefer I clean my bathroom before I leave) and just take off take bright and early tomorrow morning, heading straight to Mesa Verde. Things are mostly back on schedule, and I’ll probably be glad I’ve wound up having an extra day to get ready.

Problem solved!
Sunday, July 16th, 2006Not off to a good start
Sunday, July 16th, 2006In fact, things still haven’t even started. While loading my 4Runner last night and getting ready for what should have been my departure this morning, I discovered that none of the power outlets in my 4Runner are working. They worked a couple weeks ago, I used one to plug in an air compressor. Now, nothing. Zip. Zilch. As a digital photographer, this is a Huge issue, I need to be able to charge my camera batteries, laptop, run a dvd burner, etc. I’ve swapped out relays, fuses, no luck. Everything else that’s supposed to be on the same circuit is working properly, which means I’ll be staying in town to pay the mechanic a visit tomorrow. So much for Hovenweep and Mesa Verde…
Soon….
Saturday, July 15th, 2006Very soon….there will really be something here!
